NFL Network’s draft coverage in Nashville includes massive set in front of Tootsies

The structure protrudes from Tootsies Orchid Lounge and bleeds out onto the street, making the iconic, can’t-miss purple honky-tonk on Broadway something even more of an eye-catcher.

“It looks like a giant Lego set that starts on the street and goes back to the front of Tootsies,” Tootsies media manager Jeff Eslick said. “It’s surreal. It really is.”

For NFL Network, Tootsies represented the perfect venue to create a set for its coverage of the 2019 NFL Draft, which comes to Nashville this week.

“It’s an iconic honky-tonk, it’s right on Broadway, and it gives us the sight lines that we wanted,” said Charlie Yook, an NFL Network producer in his 13th year covering the draft. “The people at Tootsies were so welcoming and so warm, it was a perfect match. I think it represents a lot of  what Nashville is, and we wanted to make sure we present that to the rest of the football fans in the country.”
