Nashville honky-tonk Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge will celebrate its 55th Anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 21, with a free street party on lower Broadway between 4th and 5th avenues.
As part of the celebration, Tootsie’s, in partnership with Dollar General, is hosting a sanctioned Nathan’s Famous hot dog eating contest at 5 p.m. The top male and female finisher will each qualify for a spot to compete in the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island on July 4, 2016.
The event will feature music on the outdoor Broadway stage throughout the day, including Randy Houser, Terri Clark, LOCASH, Chase Bryant, Michael Ray, Trick Pony, Confederate Railroad, Amanda Watkins, John Stone, Scott Collier, Anthony Orio and more.
Kid Rock, Dierks Bentley and many more have stopped by to surprise fans at past birthday bashes.
